Beef Broccoli


Ingredients:

1 lb beef, thinly sliced
1 lb broccoli florets
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp flour, dissolved in 1 tbsp water
cooking oil

For the beef marinade:
1 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tbsp flour
1/4 tsp ground black pepper

For the sauce:
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 c water

Procedure:

1. Mix the beef marinate in a bowl. Marinate the beef for 10-15 minutes.
2. Mix the sauce ingredients in a small bowl. Set aside.
3. Blanch the broccoli in a small pot of boiling water for about 2 minutes until tender-crisp. Drain thoroughly.
4. In a large pan, heat cooking oil over a high heat.
5. Add the marinated beef and fry for few minutes.
6. Add the sauce and garlic. Simmer for few minutes.
7. Then add the dissolved cornstarch. Stirring until the sauce boils and thickens.
8. Add the blanched broccoli and give a quick toss.
9. Serve hot with steamed rice.
